MeoNotes Privacy Policy

1. About this policy

This Privacy Policy applies to MeoNotes, an application developed and published by Meo Apps. By using MeoNotes, you acknowledge the data practices described below.

2. Information stored locally

MeoNotes processes information you choose to enter or select, including:

• Note titles, content, images, tags, pinned status, dates, and reminders.
• Your locally configured profile name and profile photo.
• Language choices and other application preferences.

This content is stored within the application storage on your device. Meo Apps does not operate a cloud account or synchronization service for this content and does not receive a copy of your notes or profile.

3. Google AdMob advertising

MeoNotes uses Google AdMob, a third-party advertising service provided by Google LLC, to display advertisements.

As a result of using AdMob, Google and its advertising technology partners may automatically collect or receive information such as:

• The app name and interactions with advertisements.
• IP address and approximate location derived from the IP address.
• Device information, operating system, language, and diagnostics.
• Advertising identifiers, including the Android Advertising ID.
• Ad impressions, clicks, performance, fraud-prevention, and usage data.

This information may be used to provide ads, limit ad frequency, measure advertising performance, prevent fraud and abuse, maintain services, and, depending on your consent and device settings, personalize advertising. Meo Apps does not receive your note content through AdMob.

4. Advertising consent and choices

Where required by law, users may be shown a consent message before personal data or device storage is used for advertising purposes. Consent choices may affect whether ads are personalized or non-personalized.

Users in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, Switzerland, and other applicable regions should be provided with legally required disclosures and privacy choices through Google-certified consent tools configured for the application.

You can manage advertising personalization and related controls through your Android device settings and Google My Ad Center.

5. Photos and note images

When you select a profile photo or add an image to a note, MeoNotes accesses only the image you actively choose through the device file or photo picker. The selected image is compressed and stored locally within the application.

MeoNotes does not upload your selected profile photo or note images to a Meo Apps server.

6. Reminders and notifications

If reminder or notification functionality is enabled, MeoNotes may process a note title, date, and time locally to provide a reminder on your device. Android notification permission may be requested when this feature requires it.

7. Sharing notes

MeoNotes shares a note only after you press the Share button. The note is then passed to an application or service you select through Android's sharing interface. The recipient application processes the shared data under its own privacy policy.

8. Data sharing and third parties

Meo Apps does not sell your notes, profile information, or note images. Technical and advertising-related information may be shared with or processed by Google and its advertising technology partners as a consequence of using AdMob.

The exact partners and processing activities may depend on your region, consent choices, ad configuration, and the Google advertising services active at the time an ad is requested.

9. Data retention and deletion

Locally stored content remains on your device until you delete it. You can:

• Delete an individual note from its menu.
• Delete a custom tag from the tag menu.
• Use Settings > Delete All Data to erase local MeoNotes content.
• Clear the app's storage or uninstall the application.

Information processed independently by Google is subject to Google's retention practices and user controls.

10. Security

MeoNotes limits note and profile storage to local application storage. However, no storage method can be guaranteed to be completely secure. Device security, screen locks, backups, and physical access remain under your control.

11. Children's privacy

MeoNotes is not intended to knowingly collect personal information from children. If the application is made available to children or included in Google Play's Families program, Meo Apps will apply the required child-directed treatment and advertising settings.

12. International processing

Google and its service providers may process advertising-related information in countries other than the country where you live, subject to their legal safeguards and privacy practices.

13. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy when MeoNotes features, permissions, advertising services, SDKs, or data practices change. The latest revision date will be shown at the top of this page.
